Plant Science Instruments / Sunshine Sensors and Canopy Analysis

Sunshine Sensor - BF3
  • Measures global (total) and diffuse radiation
  • Measures sunshine duration
  • No moving parts, no shade rings, and no motorized tracking
  • Outputs can be Energy (W.m-2), PAR (mmol.m-2.s-1), or Lux
  • Designed for use with Data Loggers or the SunScan Canopy Analysis System

Two analogue voltage outputs give global and diffuse radiation, from which direct and diffuse radiation are derived. The sunshine state is represented by a digital output. The three outputs can be connected to appropriate channels on the GP1 or DL2e data loggers, or other loggers commonly used for environmental monitoring.

SunScan System - SS1
  • Measures incident and transmitted PAR in canopies
  • Direct display of Leaf Area (LAI)

SunScan uses field measurements of PAR (Photosynthetically Acive Radiation) values in crop Canopies to provide valuable information about the parameters influencing growth.

SunScan System - SS1

HemiView System - HMV1
  • Analyses Hemispherical Images
  • Calculates canopy structure parameters and solar radiation Indices
  • Predicts radiation levels beneath canopy

HemiView provides powerful, user-friendlyh software for analysing Hemispherical image and managing the resulting data.
It has been developed by the Helios Institute in Kansaz, USA.
